世界に向けて書くサイトを作っているCreating a site for writing to the world

2024年にもなって外国語を読むのにまだ困っている。It's 2024 and I'm still having trouble reading foreign languages.

1988年に生まれた僕にとって2024年はとてつもなく未来的な響きのする年で、あらゆるテクストが完璧に翻訳されてもおかしくない気がするのに。For me, born in 1988, 2024 sounds like an incredibly futuristic year, and I feel like it wouldn't be strange for all texts to be perfectly translated.

と言うわけで、どんな言語で書かれたやつでも読むことが出来るサイトを作った。So, I created a site where you can read anything written in any language.

この文章が書かれているこのサイトであり、Ｅｖameという。This site, where this text is written, is called Evame.

Evameの説明Explanation of Evame

Evameは、誰がどんな言語で書いた記事でも、世界中の人が読めるようにすることを目的としている。Evame aims to make articles written by anyone in any language readable by people all over the world.

翻訳は対訳形式で表示される。Translations are displayed in parallel text format.

翻訳は保存され、翻訳をクリックすれば､翻訳に投票したり、翻訳を追加したりできる。Translations are saved, and by clicking on a translation, you can vote for it or add a new one.

これが繰り返されていけば、いつか完璧な翻訳ができるかもしれない。If this is repeated, perfect translations might be possible someday.

元々は仏教書を翻訳したくて作り始めたのだが、パーリ語原典のデータ整理に難航していて、プログラムの方が先にできてきた。Originally, I started creating it because I wanted to translate Buddhist scriptures, but I'm having trouble organizing the data of the Pali originals, so the program came first.

まだまだバグだらけだしベータ版だが、割と面白いものができた気がする。It's still full of bugs and is a beta version, but I think I've created something quite interesting.
