Jump Review [2025: Issue 49]Yyabsing11/3/2025 The videos I started posting on YouTube are getting more views than I expected (around 350 views), and I'm having fun. It's a shameless way to ride the bandwagon, but please check out "Uehara and Yoshino's Pokemon Chat." I'll be writing my impressions here. Table of Contents: Next to Kobukuro, Ichi, One Piece, Himaten, Modulo, Akane, Samwan, Witch, Bachi, Nue, Run Away Young Master, Roboco, Ping Pong, Afterword Next to Kobukuro I thought, "This is the one I read as a one-shot," but it's already been three years. Time flies. The setting has changed considerably from the one-shot. The sister disappeared, and the magic world setting probably didn't exist originally. I can see traces of various trial and error, but that makes it more interesting. While reading, I wanted them to defeat the enemy witch properly, and I understood the motivation for the unmotivated protagonist to act. However, I can't say for sure if I want to keep reading it as a series, so I'm looking forward to chapter 2 and beyond. Ichi Rampaging without purpose gives me the same feeling of excitement as watching Sukuna in Shibuya. But it seems like Uroro's turn is over without defeating him completely. With 304 lives remaining in front of a transcendence specialist, there may still be a need to try harder. By the way, does Ichi have any aftereffects from Uroro's backlash? One Piece Personally, I wanted Rocks to be a cool villain, acting on his own will and losing as Rocks... However, understanding Davy's position is huge. Considering that what remained in the Summit War was not the Pirate King, but Davy's blood, I think that was quite an important watershed moment. If what's about to happen is a recreation of the battle between a giant kingdom and 20 kings, then I think the central figure in the incident will be Blackbeard, not Luffy. I want Blackbeard to start a war using ancient weapons or something. Himaten The author may have realized that writing "Shacho" (社長 - President) for Himari is interesting. As for the data, there's a high possibility that she'll be taken to a hotel afterward, but is that okay? Well, whatever. Modulo I thought Dabura and Jabaroma were both dangerous guys, but they're actually good guys. That said, what made me feel good reading this week was Doula and Mal's strength. It's cool to be able to look forward in such a desperate situation. Also, the setting of the tears is stylish. By the way, did Karyan bring them to Earth? Dabura came along, but is his sister okay? Rolorca, the combined kanji form for "Juryoku" (呪力 - Cursed Power) is a pretty good random name that sounds convincing. Akane Akane's supervisor recently became a Shin'uchi (真打 - master storyteller), and the year they started supervising was their second year, so I'm sure they heard a lot of stories about the process of resolving money issues. In fact, they might have been in a financially precarious situation when they started supervising (I don't know the details), but it's good that there's no unnecessary stalling and things are progressing smoothly. Samwan Natsu was a normal name, but everything about Shuri is shrimp-related lol. Of course, it's shrimp, and so are the braids. I thought this manga was pretty much complete with Kurage and Mimei, so even if new characters come out, I don't really care, but it might be good that they're in a position where they don't have to get too involved, like from another school or adults. Witch Seeing Nico back to being the funny one for the first time in a while makes me think that Nico should be a high school student after all. The way he's getting carried away was very good. The ending was also clean and good. Bachi I didn't think Koujo would die, but he has a ridiculously strong ability. Hakuri was so cool when he transferred Kiri-chan, but the only result is seeing a fragment of the enemy's ability, which is quite tough. Even among the sorcerers, Byaku is exceptional... and even more exceptional is the demon sword. Three of the top-class sorcerers in the series are barely able to hold them back, and Azami has at least injured his arm. He probably isn't dead, but Yuu doesn't have much time either, so even if the cautious Yuu doesn't finish him off, it makes sense. Also, I'm really looking forward to seeing the Sword Saint finally take center stage. I'm also curious as to why the Sword Saint seemed to anticipate this situation to some extent, saying "It's about time." Nue It's too funny. Betting on a student footrace is funny in itself, but the appearance of Yajma's single bet uncle made me laugh so hard. He looks cool, but you're no better. This kind of thing is very cliche, but it's not the situation to do it. The school festival is a void, and the enemies who appear with a cool look are so out of it that I almost forgot about it, but their dialogue is lame, which helps. In the first place, anyone who's attracted by such a plan can't be normal. Besides, is it okay for someone who's categorized with such a dangerous word as Massacre (鏖) to say that their heart is warm? However, the enemy coming with a whirlwind during the school festival inevitably reminds me of Philes from Shakugan no Shana. Run Away Young Master The fact that all the events are based on source material in literature is too strong. Can Kojiro return alive? Roboco Lol. Vegehan and Onion gave kind hints, but why is there no hint for this one? To be honest, I didn't know it at first, but I wonder why I immediately thought it was a parody and it must be Hunter. Ping Pong It's over... I wanted to read the space arc too. But it ended brightly and without any tragedy. As you can guess, I just like this work, so I can't really think of a reason why it was canceled. What is it? Maybe it's because it always had a B-movie feel, or maybe people aren't looking for this kind of manga... From my perspective, I feel like people who are used to manga and anime tend to like this type of work that seriously does stupid things, so maybe it didn't appeal to new readers who came in with Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, or Chainsaw Man. If you're just someone who doesn't like it, please tell me why. I'm really looking forward to the author's next work. Afterword I went to see the Zombsaga movie today. It was so funny. They were doing seriously stupid things, and it was good. It's stupid, but it's unnecessarily well-made, the hot scenes are hot, and the zombies are basically cute. It was perfect. The helmet and jersey incident in the first season's opening is also great because the dowdy look is cute. And yesterday, I went to the Shosoin Exhibition. Maybe it's because I've been reading archeology books from eras with no documents left, but I was so moved when I saw financial records and family registers from the Nara period. If researchers found something like this, it would be amazing... Also, one of the things I like about manga and anime is when I can think, "The characters are living" (or, "They're alive"). I felt that sense of life from those documents. By the way, the work that makes me feel that the most recently is CITY the animation. Even when I go to exhibitions that seem like it, my emotional reactions are only to otaku elements. Well, that's it for this week. Seriously, please check out my YouTube channel too. See you again.70ENCommentslogin and startStartpost
